Alexandra Booth
Alex Booth is a partner in the Commercial and Reinsurance Groups.
After studying law at Oxford University, Alex qualified as a solicitor in 1996. She became a partner of the firm in April 2004.
Alex specialises in regulatory work for the insurance and financial services industries. She advises on all aspects of regulation by the FSA and regularly handles applications for FSA authorisation. She also has wide-ranging experience of Lloyd's regulation and EEA passporting issues.
Alex's practice also encompasses litigation and arbitration of insurance and reinsurance disputes. She handles a wide range of disputes acting for insurance companies, Lloyd's syndicates and brokers.
Alex is a Vice President of the Insurance Institute of London (IIL) and chairs the IIL's Representatives Committee. Outside work, Alex enjoys sampling the many real ales on offer at her local pub. She is also a Sherlock Holmes enthusiast and a Northampton Saints rugby season ticket holder.
